Luigi Giordano, Barbaresco, "Cavanna", Piedmont 2023

Located nearly within the center of Barbaresco, the winery was founded by Luigi's father Giovanni in the 1930s. Luigi made the brave move to stop selling their grapes and instead bottle under the family name in 1958, still rare at the time. Today, the winery remains a creative and an independent spirited place run by Luigi, his daughter Laura and grandson Matteo. The Cavanna bottling is elegant, lifted and an excellent value amongst the great wines of Piedmont.
