Sunset pink in color, this light bodied red made from Ploussard, is lively and wild with pleasant notes of strawberry, wild herbs. Julien Mareschal works with 5ha in Pupillin, which he purchased in 2003 after completing his studies in Dijon and Lyon. Inspired by the like of Pierre Overnoy and Emmanuel Houillon, Julien approaches his craft with minimal intervention farming and winemaking approach. The domaine has been certified organic since 2011 and transitioning to biodynamic, harvest is done by hand, vines are grassed over and all work is made to keep the vines in balance. In the cellar, he uses native yeast fermentation, gentle handling and aging in older wood. The Ploussard doesn't have any sulfur additions.
