Hammelmann, Chardonnay "Z" Trocken, Pfalz 2024

The Chardonnay “Z” comes from the Ziegelgarten vineyard in Germany’s Pfalz, where red sandstone soils bring energy and texture to the wines. Lukas Hammelmann, one of the region’s most exciting young talents, farms organically and vinifies with a light hand, allowing the vineyard’s character to come through. His Chardonnays are made in a precise, mineral-driven style, closer to Burgundy than to the broader, riper German examples.
