The 2022 Granit Blanc from Domaine de Vaccelli is a refined white wine from the Ajaccio AOC in Corsica, crafted entirely from Vermentinu grapes. The grapes are sourced from southeast-facing slopes of decomposed granite, imparting a distinctive minerality to the wine. Vinification involves direct pressing, followed by 12 months of aging on whole lees in 400L barrels and 600L demi-muids, two months in stainless steel vats, and five months in bottle. This wine offers aromas of ripe pear, white flowers, and almond, with flavors of citrus zest and fleshy fruits, culminating in a persistent finish.
