Cruse Wine Co., Sparkling St. Laurent, Carneros

The St. Laurent from Dale Ricci’s Vineyard in Carneros is our lightest and easiest drinking sparkler. This is why we make PetNats – taking California sunshine and converting to a beverage made for BBQs and patio hangouts.  When we age our PetNats for an extra year, it tends to remove a bit of the baby fat, revealing more of a lean acidity and minerality. It’s a lovely strawberry color with a bright nose of watermelons, crushed raspberries, and strawberry ice cream. The palate is lemon, kumquats, and tangerines wrapped in a chalky, foamy meringue.
