La Comarcal, Delmoro, Tinto, Spain 2023

La Comarcal is a project by Javi Revert and Victor Marqués, two friends crafting vibrant, expressive wines from old mountain vineyards near Venta del Moro in western Valencia. Founded in 2017, the winery focuses on organically farmed native varieties and minimal-intervention winemaking with native yeasts. Their Delmoro Tinto is a fresh, fruit-driven blend of 80% Garnacha from a single vineyard planted in 1987 and 20% old-vine Syrah, fermented separately with partial whole-cluster inclusion. Aged in stainless steel and concrete, the wine is bright, balanced, and versatile—perfect for everyday meals and Mediterranean pairings.
