Pinot Noir from the Sonoma Coast
Hirsch, Bohan-Dillon Pinot Noir, Sonoma Coast
David Hirsch planted Hirsch Vineyards in 1980 on one of the most remote and coastal sites on the Sonoma Coast, near Fort Ross. A winery followed in 2002, and his daughter Jasmine joined the estate in 2008, eventually taking over as winemaker in 2019. Hirsch has since become one of the most respected names in American Pinot Noir. From this cool-climate site come wines defined by lifted floral aromatics, elegance, and finely structured tannins.

Often considered the younger sibling to Brunello, this Rosso di Montalcino seriously overdelivers. Made by Gigliola Giannetti and her daughters, Viola and Sofia, the wine is fragrant and refined, with notes of forest berries, blue flowers, and wild herbs. Bright sour cherry, blood orange, star anise, and black tea unfold over fine-grained tannins, while vibrant acidity keeps the wine fresh and energetic. Elegant, expressive, and beautifully balanced.
