Sigalas Assyrtiko "A" Santorini Greece 2023

85% Assyrtiko bringing its trademark racy acidity, citrus, and volcanic minerality, while 15% Athiri—a local grape often used to round out blends—adds gentler texture and floral lift. The vines are grown in black volcanic soils, trained in the island’s traditional basket system (kouloura) to protect against fierce winds. There is evidence vines were planted here 3,000 years ago. 

Fermented in stainless steel and bottled young, the wine is dry, bright, and clean—with notes of lemon peel, sea spray, white peach, and wild herbs. This is a go-to pairing for seafood, and a refreshing, high-energy white that shows the more laid-back side of Santorini’s volcanic terroir.  13.5% alcohol.
