The Moncuit estate has been crafting Champagne in Le Mesnil-sur-Oger since 1889, when Alex Moncuit began farming vines in the heart of the Côte des Blancs. In 1928, his grandson Robert released the domaine’s first cuvée, establishing a tradition of estate-bottled wines. Today, fifth-generation vigneron Pierre Amillet carries on the family legacy, farming eight hectares sustainably without pesticides or herbicides. Each parcel is harvested and vinified separately, with a focus on long lees aging, natural malolactic fermentation, and a delicate balance of tank and barrel work to preserve Mesnil’s purity, precision, and chalk-driven minerality.

At the core of Moncuit’s reputation lies Les Chétillons, one of Champagne’s most revered climats and a benchmark for Le Mesnil’s exceptional Chardonnay. Moncuit holds two hectares across five parcels within this 40-hectare site, with vines planted as far back as 1956. The south-facing slopes and chalk-rich soils yield wines of incredible finesse, depth, and age-worthiness. Les Chétillons  is a rare terroir that defines Moncuit’s style and places their Champagnes among the finest expressions of the Côte des Blancs.
