Pere Mata, Brut Nature, L'Origen, Cava 2020

Mata I Coloma is a small, organic winery in Sant Sadurní d’Anoia, led by winemaker Pere Mata, whose name appears on every bottle. He farms 5 hectares by hand, using traditional Cava grapes—Xarello, Macabeu, and Parellada—to highlight the region’s terroir. The wines are aged on the lees for at least two years, often longer, and include both vintage and disgorgement dates for transparency. While their quality invites comparison to Champagne, these wines remain true to Cava, driven by craftsmanship and a strong sense of place.
