Moropoulos, Mantinia, Moschofilero, Greece 2023

Moropoulos family has a long tradition in viticulture. From 2015, they started making their own wines based in Neochori, Arcadia, located in the heart of Mantineia PDO zone. The privately-owned vineyards are located at an altitude of 700-800 meters and some of them are grown organically. Their purpose is to discover the different dynamics of each plot in combination with the special character of Moschofilero. From the 2023 harvest, the reins of winemaking have been taken over by the experienced oenologist and agronomist Lefteris Anagnostou. Lefteris has many years of experience in Santorini due to his collaboration with the winery of Artemis Karamolegos, perhaps that is why this wine has such a sharp and mineral character! The wine ferments and matures in stainless steel tanks so that nothing overshadows its floral and aromatic character.
