Gaja Ca'Marcanda, Promis, Toscana IGT 2023

Ca’ Marcanda Promis is a vibrant Toscana IGT red from Bolgheri and Bibbona, blending Merlot, Syrah, and Sangiovese grown on lime- and clay-rich soils, then aged 12 months in oak barrels before blending and bottle time for a deep ruby red with purple highlights. The nose bursts with wild raspberry, black currant, blueberry, plus pink peppercorn and licorice notes. Medium-bodied with smooth tannins and bright acidity, it shifts on the palate from aromatic herbs to blackberry and cherry, ending on a subtle savory olive note.
