Coessens, Largiller Blanc de Noirs, Champagne NV

Jérôme Coessens, one of Champagne’s rising stars, crafts intensely precise and pure wines from his tiny family estate in the Aube, which he took over in 2003. Unlike most Champagne houses, all his wines come from a single 5.5-acre vineyard, “l’Argillier,” planted exclusively to old-vine Pinot Noir. The vineyard’s clay-rich soils give the wines remarkable power and depth, balanced by bright acidity and vivid fruit. Produced in extremely small quantities, Champagne Coessens represents meticulous craftsmanship and some of the most distinctive, concentrated expressions of Pinot Noir in the region.
